We found Acadiane’ Expeditions, Ltd. on the web, after looking at sites that offer alligator hunts from Florida and Louisiana we chose Acadiane’ Expeditions because it is a family run Outfitter.
When we spoke to Dan, we realized that we were in for the renowned South Louisiana hospitality. Dan helped us with all we needed to know about booking our trip so we didn’t have any problems, it was much appreciated. Once we arrived we meet a very friendly and devoted family. The accommodations and the food were excellent, it was far better than expected! It was a dream come true for us, hunting a gator in Southern Louisiana Bayou. Our guides DJ and Jack made our experience so special, seeing a gator for the first time is very impressive. As security comes first for them, we felt comfortable hunting in the bayou. We are ourselves owners of a hunting and fishing Lodge in Northern Quebec in Canada. We found in Acadiane’ Expeditions what every customer is looking for when choosing an Outfitter. We have repeated our trip with them a few times and we still love every minute of it.

My daughter, who attends Tulane in New Orleans ,and I were looking for a first class alligator hunting experience. After speaking with several different outfitters, we contacted Dan Hidalgo of Acadiane Expeditions and I knew immediately we made the right choice. We arrived not knowing what to expect and received a warm welcome from Dan and his family who run the operation. The hospitality, accommodations, food and beverage were unsurpassed by none. The guides were extremely knowledgeable , friendly and caring. All the boats, equipment and gear was first-class, new, spotlessly clean and in perfect working condition (which I think was cleaned and polished nightly) . Now for the actual hunt. Our catches exceeded our wildest expectations and far surpassed anything we could have anticipated or imagined. All I can say is it created a lifelong memory of our 12 foot monster size gator , which made the 6 footers look like key chains ! A trip we will cherish and enjoy forever. We received T-shirts, hats and hunting hooks as souvenirs of our excursion to accompany the hundreds of photos, gator belt, book bag and trophy head mount we subsequently ordered. It was an absolute perfect adventure with wonderful and warm staff. There is little left to the imagination that could improve such an outing. We felt like we were family and were treated as such.
